Temple Emanuel, a Reform Jewish congregation in Kensington, Maryland, is hiring Religious School, Elective, and Hebrew teachers for the 2023-2024 school year.
Our Religious School meets 9-11:30 AM for Jewish Studies followed by our Hebrew program from 11:30 AM-1 PM. We are hiring instructors for 4th Grade Jewish Studies and Hebrew and 7th Grade Judaic Studies. We also have openings for a Nature Specialist (2x/month), a Youth Group Assistant, and a Family Programming Specialist. We may also need Hebrew Instructors on Tuesday evenings from 6-7:30 PM (dependent on enrollment).
We offer a competitive salary (starting at $30/hour) with paid training and paid time off. Temple Emanuel is located on Connecticut Avenue and is easily accessible from the DC Beltway. We are not on a Metro line, but there is a bus line that brings you to the front of the building.
