Our teachers create joyful, engaging, and hands-on Jewish learning experiences that help students build lasting connections to Judaism, community, and one another. You don’t need years of classroom experience, you just need enthusiasm, and the ability to connect with children and grow as educators. Don’t worry, we’ll provide the mentorship, curriculum, and ongoing support to help you succeed.
We are looking for teachers of: -Judaics -Prayer (T’fillah) -Hebrew Language for students in K-7.
We are also looking for an PT Administrative person and people who would like to substitute teach.
Your work hours will be: Sundays 8:30am – 12:30 pm Tuesdays/Wednesdays 5:00 – 8:00 pm
With additional hours available for special events and activities.
What We’re Looking For You: -Enjoy working with children (babysitting, camp counseling, tutoring, youth group leadership, and mentoring all count!) -Have a passion for Judaism and an interest in helping children build their own Jewish identities -Have familiarity with the Hebrew Aleph-Bet and basic Hebrew words and prayers (or are eager to strengthen those skills) -Bring warmth, creativity, energy, and a positive attitude -Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team -Are dependable, flexible, and excited to learn
What You’ll Do -Welcome students and help create a warm, inclusive classroom environment -Teach engaging lessons using our thoughtfully developed curriculum -Build relationships with students and families -Collaborate with fellow teachers and madrichim (student aides) -Receive mentoring, professional development, and ongoing support throughout the year
