Start date: late August or early September 2026

About Us
We’re Emily Goodstein, Ron Kelly, and Edie (almost 6). We live in Chevy Chase, MD, and are looking for a wonderful, detail-oriented house manager to help keep our home running smoothly and happily.

Emily runs a digital marketing agency and works from home. Ron is a federal employee and works downtown. Edie is spirited, funny, creative, and deeply opinionated in the best possible way. She’s starting Kindergarten in the fall!

We’re a warm, busy family who values kindness, humor, reliability, and a calm, organized home environment. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping a household function well and takes pride in creating order behind the scenes.

About the Role
This is a part-time house manager position, ideally:
4–5 days per week
Approximately 3 hours per day
Morning hours preferred (but we are flexible about this)

We’re looking for someone who is:
Extremely dependable and responsible
Proactive
Detail oriented
Organized
Comfortable taking initiative
Friendly and fun

Responsibilities include:
Light cleaning and general tidying
We have a wonderful housekeeper who will still do a more thorough clean of our house once a week
Laundry (washing, folding, and putting away clothes)
Loading/unloading dishes and keeping the kitchen organized
Cleaning out and organizing the fridge
Grocery shopping and receiving deliveries
Running errands such as:
dry cleaning
post office/UPS runs
donation drop-offs
Organizing toys and rotating out things Edie no longer uses
Sorting and donating clothes that no longer fit
Helping our home feel calm, functional, and cared for

This role is less about deep cleaning and more about thoughtful household management and keeping the day-to-day running smoothly.

Other Details
The rate for this role is $25-$30/hour. This is not a live-in position. We will provide guaranteed hours per week and paid time off. We’d love to find someone who can become a trusted, long-term part of our family rhythm — someone who notices what needs to be done, enjoys creating calm out of chaos, and brings positive energy into our home.
