Malida is a celebration by the Bene Israel Jews of the Maharashtra region of India, which is held during Tu-Bishvat to give thanks to Eliyahu Hanavi (Prophet Elijahu) who helped the Bene Israel people when they reached India. Come learn about the holiday and the Bene Israel community that had emigrated to Israel from India during the 50’s and 60’s.
