Sophie Glazer is a Springboard Fellow at Maryland Hillel, where she is passionate about helping students find community and create meaningful Jewish experiences throughout their college years. She recently graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. Through her experiences in Jewish life, youth programming, and student leadership, Sophie discovered her love for building relationships and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
Growing up, Jewish community has always been an important part of Sophie’s life, from BBYO to Jewish summer camps. Those experiences inspired her passion for bringing people together and helping others feel a sense of belonging. Sophie is excited to bring that passion to Maryland Hillel and can’t wait to meet students, celebrate Jewish life on campus, and help make UMD feel like home. Outside of Hillel, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new restaurants, traveling, and finding fun adventures around Maryland.
