About the Project
The Luthier is a feature documentary from Forced Detour Films LLC. As we ramp up fundraising for upcoming filming in Israel and New York, we’re looking for a sharp, self-starting Social Media Intern to help shape and execute our online presence.

The Role
Ideal for a film student on a producer track—or anyone aiming to enter documentary filmmaking—this internship offers hands-on experience across the social pipeline: strategy, audience targeting, content development, and light editing.

What you’ll do
Assist in building a channel-by-channel social strategy and content calendar.

Identify and refine target audiences, hashtags, and communities to reach supporters.

Draft posts and short-form copy; adapt stories for IG, TikTok, X, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.

Create and lightly edit clips/teasers using Adobe Premiere and basic creator tools.

Schedule and publish content; track simple metrics and learn what’s working.

Collaborate with the producing team to align content with fundraising milestones.

What you’ll learn

You’re a good fit if you
Are a film student (producer track preferred) or an aspiring documentary filmmaker.

Know your way around major social platforms and trends.

Have basic skills in Adobe Premiere (or eagerness to learn quickly).

Write clearly, organize well, and meet deadlines independently.

Can commit 6–10 hrs/week on a flexible schedule.
