A collection of ongoing discussion groups for Jewish students at Maryland to explore their Judaism, meet new people and gain a greater sense of community. Plus, completion of a semester-long series comes with a $250 stipend towards a future Jewish experience of your choice!
As home to half of the world’s Jews, there’s a lot to explore about Israeli society, culture, history, and politics. Unpack the Holy Land and get to know Israel over dinner and snacks.

Food and Jews have a longstanding and beautiful relationship. In this dinner series, you will explore the art of deliciously crafted meals, Shabbat, ritual, Israel and more. Get ready to set out on journey through your taste buds, cooking different foods from Challah and Matzo ball soup to Israeli Salad and latkes.

Enjoy 4 weeks of Jewish exploration through TV, movies, wellness, and food. For every 10 students who sign up, your House will have the opportunity to earn a catered Shabbat dinner.

How do you make a temporary home feel permanent? Why do Jews disagree on everything? How do you invent your own Shabbat practice? Enjoy lively discussion, discover the weird and amazing in Jewish history, and develop your ability to reinterpret our tradition each week over dinner.
Dates: Thursdays March 5 through May 7 + Shabbat, Apr 3

Balancing academic goals, career aspirations, and personal life is hard enough without also searching for deep meaning and asking big questions. But what’s the point otherwise? Join Rabbi Ari and other campus leaders for this exciting and driven dinner series.
