Temple Aliyah, a vibrant Conservative egalitarian congregation in Needham, MA, is seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and outgoing individual to serve as Director of Youth and Teen Engagement on a full-time basis (flexible schedule). The Director of Youth and Teen Engagement will create and oversee social and spiritual programming, leadership development, and experiential learning programs for Temple youth from grades 6-12, family programming for Temple youth from grades K-5, and teach in the religious school. He/she will supervise USY advisors and also work closely with congregational lay leaders, clergy and professional staff. The successful candidate must be able to interact with youth of all ages, have a demonstrated knowledge of Judaism, and be a positive role model for our youth. The ideal candidate will have a degree from a four year college or university, experience leading Jewish or other youth groups and youth-related programs, and experience with outreach and promoting programs, including a familiarity with the use of social media. Jewish overnight camp attendance is a plus. This is an exciting opportunity to work with teens and help them develop as leaders and to supervise youth group advisors on new and exciting programs.
