Application for Campus Leaders Mission to Israel – January 3-14, 2022
Israel Discovered – Perspectives Trip to Israel and the Palestinian Territories

Israel Discovered – Perspectives Trip to Israel and the Palestinian Territories is an in-depth exploration experience of Israel for a select group of student leaders from the University of Maryland. The trip will give students, together with Maryland Hillel staff, an opportunity to engage and explore Israel’s beauty and complexity in a personal way.

This selective program seeks students who are highly motivated to gain a deeper understanding of Israel and the Palestinian Territories and to share what they learn with the broader UMD community. Throughout the journey, participants will be expected to ask challenging questions, engage in group discussions and reflection, and to practice resilient listening.

Participants of the program will form a learning community to further one another’s understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Israel and the Palestinian Territories. The group will participate in intensive pre-trip orientations during fall semester 2021, and the cohort will reconvene following the trip for follow-up programming in spring 2022.
