Maccabi Media Student Program – Israel / Summer 2026

Maccabi Media is a career-development program for aspiring media professionals who are Jewish, age 18-25 and pursuing a career in media, journalism, broadcasting or a related field.

Following the postponement of the 2025 Games until next summer, we are now recruiting additional media students/recent grads to fill vacancies on our team and to cover 30+ sports during a 3-week Olympic-style international competition from June 25-July 20, 2026. Virtual training sessions – which will include assigned written and video projects – will begin on a monthly basis in January 2026. These dates include a mandatory in-person workshop in Philadelphia immediately before our departure to Israel.

Our group will perform a variety of roles including play-by-play, color analysis, sideline reporting, live game streaming, video production & editing, photography, and sports reporting for web/social media. The students will receive hands-on guidance from veteran media mentors including MMP Chair and former 76ers play-by-play voice Marc Zumoff and learn from several industry professionals during sessions with notable guest speakers. Following the trip, the students will receive long-term assistance with resumes, demo reels and career networking.
