Thank you for considering a tax-deductible gift to support Maryland Hillel. Giving back is an important Jewish value. Maryland Hillel provides students with meaningful and transformative experiences. Thank you in advance for taking the responsibility of giving back to the organization and Jewish community. We encourage you to have a conversation with Maryland Hillel staff about your contribution- please contact Shuli Tropp, ’05, Director of Institutional Advancement, at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 301-422-6200 x 211
You can designate your gift to one of the following areas:
- FREE weekly Shabbat dinners: Each week Hillel provides close to 400 students with free Shabbat meals, either in the Rosenbloom Hillel Center on or around campus. Dinner costs $18 per student.
- Alternative Break Scholarships: Alternative Break programs have become a flagship of Maryland Hillel, and we’re proud to have the largest program in the country. Trips cost between $750-1500, and this year 42 students applied for $11,200 in scholarship needs.
- Wherever the money is most needed: Maryland Hillel receives no fixed allocation from the University or Hillel International, and less than ten percent of the budget comes from local Federations. The rest of the $2.7 million budget must be raised from individuals like you.
